Teacher’s Trove is an extension to the Trove website
specifically for teachers, educational professionals and those studying
education.
Teacher’s Trove aims to make Trove data easy to collate in
order to make worksheets, lessons plans and classroom displays. Users can also flag
favourite resources to further education and upload worksheets they create for
other educational professionals to use.
Through the website users have the opportunity to log in and
create a profile in order to track their worksheets, upload new worksheets,
share content with other educational professionals.
The spark from this idea came from a group brainstorm and
conversational topic that young teachers don’t have access to enough new and
interesting. The website was influenced by other websites for teachers, such as
TES, that follow a similar concept and framework!
Users can interact with Teacher’s Trove in two ways, as a content creator and/or explorer.
- As a content creator users can collate information from Trove (articles, photos, maps and archives) to create their own education resources.
- As an explorer users can search the Teacher’s Trove site and collect resources from content creators.
Both content creators and explorers have personal profiles
and can choose to rate/comment on resources of their own or others.
